Process

Life Productions, Inc. of Milwaukee, WI met with Gary Gorman for a pre-production consultation. A variety of questions were asked to determine the specifics of the investment, business, their audience, the message to be delivered and the video’s intended purpose. Interview questions were composed and tailored based on the feedback from this meeting. Freelance voiceover talent was hired to assist with scripting and recording of the narration. Life Productions helped develop criteria for choosing the interview candidates. Once the candidates were chosen, tape date(s) were scheduled.

How Life Productions, Inc. Completed Project

Life Productions hired outside HD videographer talent to capture Milwaukee’s attractions and skyline for use in selling the city to the investor. Supporting footage and interviews were taped at the Pabst development. Life Productions of Milwaukee taped developer Gary Gorman and a top city official from Milwaukee. The script for the video was drafted, refined and taped by English speaking talent and by a Mandarin speaking employee of Gorman & Company, Inc. Once all footage and audio was logged and captured, Life Productions began the edit process; first building an unscripted narrative from the collective voice of all interviewed. Then archived media, Milwaukee footage and English & Mandarin narrations were added to the timeline to support the sound bites. Finally graphics and Mandarin subtitles were layered to give the video its finishing touches.

Life Productions presented to Gorman & Company, Inc. via internet so that it could be viewed both locally and internationally for review. After minor alterations were made to the video, the process of mastering and packaging the final draft of the video was put into action.
